Hernan Matute

Hernan Matute is the President and co-founder of KanataIT Inc, an e-commerce company located in Kanata, Ontario. Hernan is responsible for product strategy, development and marketing.

Prior to KanataIT, Hernan was Director of Business Development at Bell Canada, and served as Senior Director of IT Security at BCE Emergis. A seasoned executive, Hernan oversaw the development and deployment of some of the largest IT programs and projects implementations of PKI and Identity Management in Canada.

With varied business and social interests, Hernan has over 22 years of IT services experience, an entrepreneurial vision and seasoned management skills. Hernan began his career as software developer at Bell Canada, and over the years he has led multiple IT and network business units for Telecom Canada, Bell Canada International, Bell Global Solutions, and BCE Emergis. Hernan earned his B.Comm. degree from the University of Ottawa, Ontario.
